I thought with Christmas around the corner I could help make your shopping a little easier. Here are some of the things we have used with Avan in the last couple of years that have been so helpful for him and also some fun things.
We have either paid for each product or been gifted it but the links I attach are affiliate links and I would get a small commission on any purchase you make. Do not buy it if you do not need it but if you are going to anyway adding through my link would be awesome.
Potential Gifts for Avan
Avan has gotten really into legos so I thought instead of candy this year I would do a lego advent calendar. He has not seen it yet but he is going to be SO excited daily.
He is building out a little lego city so I know he would love this airport!
60 piece Marvel puzzle!
A remote control car. It has amazing reviews!
6 piece transformers!
Learning
This calendar gets daily use!
Teach My Toddler Learning Kit – We used this kit at least 5 days a week for a while and Avan has got these down now! It is so amazing for learning and you can pick a subject each day. There are 4 methods so you are able to see which way works best for your child!
Play dough is really fun and easy!
Melissa Doug Scissor Cutting – The scissors are so light and I cant even believe they could cut but they cut so well! Great way to learn that skill.
Water Books – These are amazing for restaurants and if you do not want a mess. They are ready after you fill them with water. Avan loves them and you can reuse as many times as needed.
Alphabet Flash Cards – These are amazing for $2!
Musical Instruments – I think music and learning how to create noise is SO beneficial in childhood development. This set comes with so much at $30 it is pretty amazing.
Counting Bears – Avan plays with these everyday. We use them to name the colors and put them in the right cup. We also use them for counting and he likes to just play with them as well.
Abacus – This is something many of us grew up with but it really does work well for teaching a toddler.
Kinetic Sand – Avan got this gift recently and has not stopped being amazed with it. He plays with it daily and it is in this category because it is like doing a science experiment for toddlers.

Stem toys have been so wonderful in helping Avan problem solve and use his skills.
My brother got this for Avan and we have built houses and space ships! It is another great stem toy that you can do many things with.
Potty Training
Foldable Potty – THIS IS A GAME CHANGER if you have a toddler who does not like pottying outside of the home. It makes it a lot less scary. Avan loves using it.
7 Pack Underwear – Only 14.99 for 7! They are amazing quality which I was pretty surprised with. He was in a muppet babies phase but they have others.
Urinal – This thing is so cute and fun! Avan saw his dad standing and now he will only pee in that. 13$ is such a bargin for this. After 1.5 years of use it is still as great as it was back then.
Training Pants – When we first started and didn’t want him to have diapers at nap we used these, they are thicker to hold the pee. These are not super protective like a pull up but help the child feel an in between during nap.
Toilet Avan Used before transfering to the big boy toilet. – Avan loved this one. It flushes and is like a real toilet. Easy to clean!
Best Book I Read for Potty Training – I love this book for potty training mamas.

This won Christmas for Avan last year!! He loves them and uses them this year as well.
Rocket Launcher – we have had too much fun with this guy! Haha
Lincoln logs have been so much fun – thanks grandma!
Wooden Toy Train Set – You have seen this in my story. He is in love! It is great for learning how to attach things as well.
Magnet Tiles – These are so fun!! All the kids I worked with loved them back in the day so we got them and them being magnets helps him understand how things work as well.
Bath Color Tablets – Avan LOVES having these in his bath!! They change the color and make it fun.
Fishing Bath Toy – Great for hand eye coordination!
100 Piece Wood Blocks – Building is so helpful in development but also we use it to learn shapes + colors.
First Legos – He has outgrown these but we used them a lot before the legos!
Cooking Set – He loves to pretend to cook while I do.
